Kid Tennis Hub Launches Informative Blog for Tennis Parents

July 11, 2020 - An informative website under the name, "Kid Tennis Hub" has recently launched online. The owner, Grayson Turley, has been coaching tennis to children for 8 years, since 2012. He aims to provide a comprehensive information hub for parents looking to get their kid(s) involved with tennis.

Tennis has been one of the most popular worldwide sports for all ages for many decades. Over these decades, tennis has been one of the primary sports introduced to kids in their early childhood in the United Kingdom, Australia, and many other countries. In the United States, however, it has only recently surged in popularity as a children's sport. The United States Tennis Association (USTA) introduced "QuickStart Tennis," a program designed to provide gradual transitions to juniors throughout their experience with tennis. This has only been around since 2008 and is still somewhat underutilized by coaches and parents. Grayson has implemented this program with his junior programs, and he notes that it improves virtually every component of children's tennis development.

Essentially all information-centric tennis websites are focused on the general sport, or just adult topics. The Kid Tennis Hub team prides itself on being the only up-to-date resource center specifically designed for helping parents navigate the junior tennis world.

The Kid Tennis Hub blog has three main goals. The first is to explain why tennis is beneficial to children's early development both physically and mentally. The second goal is to inform parents on teaching their child tennis directly, or how to find a great professional in their area. The final goal is to recommend the best kids tennis gear for parents to equip their children with. The Kid Tennis Hub team only recommends equipment that they would use with their own children.

The website already includes more than 10 detailed guides answering questions that tennis parents frequently ask. Grayson and the Kid Tennis Hub team plans on publishing educational videos to help parents teach their kids tennis at home—this is increasingly valuable in the current pandemic, as many tennis programs are temporarily shut down to curb the spread of COVID-19.
