SEATTLE - July 8, 2020 - UNRIVALED Sports, a new sports media outlet, is proud to announce it has officially launched its website, www.unrivaled-sports.com, and its first "Inside The Jersey" profile featuring NFL player Jonotthan Harrison of the New York Jets.
UNRIVALED's mission is to balance the sports media scales by focusing on likable athletes and positive sports stories that usually go uncovered.
UNRIVALED will profile likable athletes with a Q&A blog and podcast, called "Inside the Jersey," that will be hosted on their new website, www.unrivaled-sports.com. Each profile will introduce sports fans nationwide to a pro athlete with a unique, behind-the-scenes story.
The outlet will also feature the innovative programs that professional sports teams create and execute for their fans and for their local communities in a segment called "Beyond the Scoreboard." So often, professional teams and franchises contribute significant time and resources to build creative fan events and impactful community initiatives, but rarely do they receive the media coverage they deserve.
The "Inside the Jersey" segments will highlight pro athletes' passions off the field, such as non-profit organizations, community initiatives, and hobbies, as well as a behind the scenes look at their journey to become a professional athlete and challenges they have faced along the way. These profiles will showcase athletes and their unique, inspiring stories that too often go unnoticed in the media landscape.
"We are absolutely thrilled to launch UNRIVALED and give sports fans some good news. 2020 has been a difficult year and UNRIVALED will give sports fans a refreshingly positive look at sports," Co-Founder Steve Schwartz said. "Our hope is that sports fans, regardless of their favorite team, are introduced to some pro athletes that they can root for."
UNRIVALED has launched with its first "Inside the Jersey" athlete profile featuring Jonotthan Harrison, a New York Jets offensive lineman who has shown his talent on and off the field, and takes an active stand against bullying through a program called "Stomp Out Bullying." The second profile is scheduled to premiere on July 22nd.
"I am very excited to showcase the stories that sometimes get overshadowed in sports," Co-Founder Allen Levin said. "I think it's so easy to focus on all the negativity and drama that traditional sports outlets seem to dwell on. I think our platform will really remind fans why they originally fell in love with sports to begin with."
