Brand Guardianship and Signage

LAS VEGAS - March 9, 2020 - Large public spaces face many challenges in maintaining their environment. Visitors expect a clean, safe and well-maintained space – a space they trust. One of these challenges is to manage the perception and reputation of the brand, whether it's a public space like a park or a large commercial precinct. Damaged signs, incorrect navigation messages or incorrectly-placed destination markers confuse the visitor, who struggles to find their way and leave perplexed.

How can the process of updating or repairing signage within a large environment be handled as quickly and efficiently as possible?

Identifying assets quickly and easily

The managers of large environments can use PAM OS to immediately identify how many signs are affected by a change to a branded sign, wayfinding sign, marketing sign or a regulatory sign. Signs can be identified by type or by a geographic location. The Project Manager can immediately identify the scope and costs involved with required changes. Usually it would take weeks to conduct an audit of the signs and locations to provide a report. All the while, the environment is less than optimal and perception is poor. This administrative process can be significantly reduce using PAM, and make the whole process much easier for everyone involved.

Quickly manage signage changes required

In conjunction with speeding up the process, the ability to visualise what the changes look like helps with high-quality, accurate sign content design and implementation. Changing a location name is easy, as any affected signs pointing to that location are immediately identified. PAM then allows the Project Manager to see what the change looks like on each sign for branding, colour, font and icons.

Budgeting, fabrication and installation

Once the budget and design of each sign is approved by the project manager, a job is created within PAM. A document showing each sign location on a map of the environment can be produced to help installation. All documentation can then be sent to the fabricator and installer, safe in the knowledge that they're clear on the requirements.

PAM is then used by the vendor to run through a punch list of signs to install.




If there is an issue, the process and communications (i.e. move sign to the left of the door) are logged for future reference.

Reducing the time and cost of sign updates and repairs are a critical part of maintaining a high-quality environment that retains a great reputation. PAM is the fastest and most efficient way to manage signage at scale and deliver a user experience that visitors love.
