CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Jan. 25, 2020 - DPSG (Dignitary Protection and Security Group) expands its counter-stalking protective measures and services to elected officials and the judiciary.
In the recent past, a judge in the Charlotte metro region had reason to fear for her safety. She knew from a note on her home porch that someone was watching her movements. Since it may have been a personal issue, Derecho Investigations was called in to examine her home and vehicles. They found a GPS tracker in her car, which meant some unknown person was tracking her routine and presented a viable threat to her physical safety.
Ron Mann, the owner noted, "Criminal cases often bring out the worst in individuals, and this stalking case was proof of that."
Once DPSG instituted counter-surveillance measures they began to decipher who was following the judge as she arrived at locations in her published schedule of events. By documenting everyone at the location they were able to determine some consistent appearances among the visitors.
By altering the schedule slightly, they were able to pinpoint and identify the person conducting the stalking. Upon completion of the background verification of the subject, DPSG was able to confront the stalker, and subsequently turned over the evidence gathered to local law enforcement for prosecution.
It turned out the stalker had a criminal conspiracy case pending before the judge and was attempting to interfere with the case by blackmailing the judge. He failed in his personal attack, and now faces additional criminal charges.
According to Ron Mann, "If you are a an official, an executive, an administrator or someone in a position of authority, you can become vulnerable to stalking efforts by those who seek revenge, or information to use against you, or to demean your professionalism. Don't get caught trying to defend yourself against this type of illegal activity."
DPSG are expert at uncovering the truth and deterring stalkers from continuing to harm their clients.
