Nicholas House New Beginnings Luncheon March 27 Monica Pearson Keynotes

ATLANTA - Jan. 21, 2020 - The Nicholas House will hold its New Beginnings Awards Luncheon on Friday, March 27, 2020 at The Four Seasons Hotel in Midtown Atlanta., 75 14th St. Atlanta 30309. Nicholas House provides an array of housing programs that keep homeless families of any composition intact while they work toward self-sufficiency. The luncheon is being held to honor women entreprenuers who are making a difference.

Hundreds of professionals, entrepreneurs, influencers and decision makers will attend the event as they acknowledge and recognize a Nicholas House Graduate and the community efforts of entrepreneurs Arion Simone and Keisha Knight Pulliam Founding Partners, The Fearless Fund and Jasmine Crowe, Founder & CEO of Goodr, Inc. a food waste management company.

Monica Pearson, Former Anchor, WSB-TV Atlanta and current Radio Personality 104.1 FM will provide the keynote address. Sophia Choi, news anchor on WSB TV is the mistress of ceremonies. Gospel/R&B Artist Kelly Price will give a special performance.

Nicholas House's mission is to help homeless families become self-sufficient by providing them with a temporary place to live while addressing the root causes of their homelessness so that they never become homeless again.

Shining a local spotlight on the new beginnings of formerly homeless women and others that have changed the trajectory for women on an unprecedented scale, the Nicholas House New Beginnings Luncheon acknowledges the journey of amazing women, raises awareness of family homelessness and supports programs and services provided by Nicholas House for homeless families.

About Nicholas House

The average age of a homeless person is 9 years old! Over, 1,100 family members are without shelter in Atlanta every night, over 5,000 in metro Atlanta. Nicholas House's mission is to help homeless families become self-sufficient by providing them with a temporary place to live while addressing the root causes of their homelessness so that they never become homeless again.

Nicholas House has served over 13,000 homeless family members since its founding in 1982. In 2019, we assisted 568 homeless parents and children from 157 different families on the path to self-sufficiency while keeping their families intact. Nicholas House follows families for up to two years after graduation from Nicholas House programs—as a result, over 90% of clients remain in housing and self-sufficient a year or more after graduation.
