COLUMBIA, S.C. - Nov. 15, 2019 - Vice President of Sales Mike Taylor congratulates Ann Thomason for her leadership in the Columbia business community. Ann has had strong military ties to the Columbia area since she moved here in 1999 and is going to the extra step as a leader in the community.
Ann was recently named to the Leadership Columbia class of 2020. The class will spend the next several months together hearing from local leaders on such topics as Political Systems, Education, Criminal Justice, Health and Human Services, Economic Development, and Military Affairs. She will also be working with her class on a project that will have a positive impact for local non-profit organization in the community.
She is heavily involved with the reestablishment of the Chamber of Commerce Northeast Connectors and currently serves as the Chairwoman Elect for that committee. "We are faced with some unique challenges in Richland County. The Chamber of Commerce Northeast Connectors focuses on highlighting the businesses within Northeast Columbia, their specific needs, and helping the community see all that Northeast Columbia has to offer."
Ann was also recently elected to the Richland Two Charter High School Board for a two-year term. "Not all students perform well in a traditional high school environment. The Charter High School allows staff to offer innovative programs to meet students where they are with their educational needs," says Ann.
After many years as an IT Recruiter in the local marketplace her move to real estate has afforded her the opportunity to become more deeply involved in making an impact in Columbia. "I love Columbia and all it has to offer," she remarks.
