AKCP to display intelligent aisle containment at DCW Frankfurt

FRANKFURT, Germany - Nov. 4, 2019 - AKCP will be releasing their cabinet analysis sensor and displaying how it can be utilized in a cold aisle containment system to check proper pressure differentials, cold and hot aisle temperatures and individual cabinet thermal mapping.

The sensors can be installed on a permanent basis for 24/7 monitoring of individual racks. Wired or wireless versions are available to suit the individual requirements of the Data Center. When used with AKCP's DCIM software, AKCPro Server, the sensor data is shown on individual rack maps, or as part of a cold aisle containment view.

The largest cost in a Data Center is the electrical power needed to cool the cabinets. By measuring the air pressure differential and mapping the thermal characteristics of racks and enclosed aisles you can reduce the energy spent on overcooling and eliminate downtime due to undercooling.

The wireless cabinet analysis sensor can also be purchased as part of a data centre analysis toolkit. This toolkit is used to conduct data centre audits on a cabinet by cabinet basis or to aid in identifying and diagnosing containment issues.
