NEW YORK - Oct. 27, 2019 - Catholic Medical Mission Board launches a new informational website catholicmedicalmissionboard.org. The site promotes fact based, not religious biased resources on family planning, abortions and contraception. Providing information for poor women and communities particularly in Africa. Despite the progress in global health, women and children living in developing countries continue to be among the most vulnerable. This motivates us to focus on improving their lives and the lives of their communities. Embracing the bond between our Catholic faith, values, and service to those most in need, Catholic Medical Mission Board is called to provide effective health solutions founded on love and respect for all. Since unintended pregnancies account for nearly 50% of all pregnancies in the U.S and there is a link between unintended pregnancies and many health and social problems: inability to complete education, poverty, poor physical and mental health, neglect, abuse and family violence we provide information on catholicmedicalmissionboard.org
