TAMPA, Fla. - Oct. 9, 2019 -Barbara Brown from Brown & Associates Law & Title, P.A. is pleased to announce the addition of Robert Donald Scruggs III to the law firm this October, 2019.
Donnie brings new areas of expertise to the firm. He has extensive experience as a civil and criminal litigator. In addition to helping Brown & Associates with civil litigation, the firm will be expanding its areas of practice to include: criminal defense, traffic ticket defense, first party homeowner's claims and personal injury.
Donnie is a native Floridian, born and raised in the small Florida town of Lake Harbor. He has resided in Florida his entire life, only leaving the state while obtaining his undergraduate degree at Cumberland University in Lebanon, TN, on a wrestling scholarship.
After graduating from Stetson in 2007, Donnie decided to make the Tampa Bay area his home. He has been a resident since graduation and has practiced his entire legal career in this area. He and his wife are raising their two sons and many pets in the area.
Upon starting his legal career, Donnie accepted a position as an Assistant Public Defender in the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Clearwater. As an Assistant Public Defender for 3 ½ years, Donnie practiced in both misdemeanor and felony divisions, including representing juveniles and domestic violence cases. Donnie handled over 2,000 criminal cases ranging from second-degree misdemeanors to first-degree felonies, from the initial intake stage through trial.
