Joshua's Heart Fdn Boca Raton Chair Colin Wanless Honored at North Lauderdale Commission Meeting

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Oct. 4, 2019 - In an overwhelming effort to recognize the good deeds of local citizens, the City of North Lauderdale's Mayor, honored a young man who has tirelessly served the less fortunate at their September Meeting. As a volunteer, leader and board member of Joshua's Heart Foundation, Colin Wanless has led by example showing what selfless deeds can do to uplift the lives of the poor.

The Boca Raton Chapter Chair and his volunteers provisioned supplies of non-perishable food, personal and household items, toiletries, book bags and books for families at a Distribution Sponsored by JHF partner, Feed The Children and in part by TelePerformance at its North Lauderdale campus. The organization served over 200 families with supplies to serve a family of four for a week. Patrons were welcomed by Vice Mayor Borgelin, City Commissioners other officials, members of Joshua's Heart and the TelePerformance team.

For his dedication to service Colin was honored at the September City Commission meeting. During the presentation ceremony, Vice Mayor Borgelin said, "The City Commission would like to recognize Colin Wanless for his community service and for his involvement in the Joshua Heart Foundation." President and Founder Joshua Williams stated, "We are proud to see our members excel in their personal growth experiences and are happy to be a part of that growth." Williams continued, "We are so proud of the work Colin is doing. He is an exemplary role model for our new volunteers."

Wanless stated, "I am humbled by the kind words and recognition from the City of North Lauderdale and our Founder Joshua." He added, "I will continue to lead by example as we work towards a goal of ending hunger and poverty."

Joshua's Heart Foundation (JHF) was founded in 2005 in Miami, Florida by Joshua when he was four and a half years old and is dedicated to the fight against global hunger and poverty. JHF is a 501(c) 3 not-for-profit, which empowers needy people to improve their quality of life by providing necessities like groceries and personal items.
