Sailfish Marina partners to send relief to Bahamas-VIDEO

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Sept. 11, 2019 - The devastation in the Bahamas is more than anyone could have imagined. People were left with literally nothing but the clothes on their backs. And now, Sailfish Marina and local businessman Gary J. Raser have teamed up to do something about it.

As seen in this YouTube video clip, Raser and a small army of volunteers has taken it upon themselves to purchase and transport desperately needed materials to the islands.

"I saw the reports and the pictures on the news and knew I had to do something, says Raser. "So we went to COSTCO purchased $23,000 worth of food and water, loaded it onto our boat, and delivered it. Today we went shopping for 100 generators and will be delivering those tomorrow. Our goal is to take supplies over every single day."

Sailfish Marina, when they saw the tons of foodstuffs going down the dock, decided that they would also help out.

"We want to do whatever we can to help, the situation there is desperate," said Manager Bryan Cheney. "We implore all of our marina slip owners, guests, and friends to donate."

If you would like to help, a GoFundMe page has been set up and is accepting donations.
