ATAS Foundation Launches Digital Art Fair for Alzheimer's Sufferers

IRVINE, Calif. - Sept. 8, 2019 - In honor of World Alzheimer's Month, the ATAS Foundation has launched a Digital Art Fair on Kickstarter where 44 artists from all over the world have come together to donate their art prints and stickers. The Digital Art Fair's goal is to not only raise funds to bring more art therapy programs to Alzheimer's sufferers, but also to raise awareness of Alzheimer's disease and the power of art therapy.

The proceeds from the art fair will support the "Memories in the Making" program. Developed by Selly Jenny in 1988, "Memories in the Making" is the signature art program of Alzheimer's Orange County for people with dementia that focuses on creative expression as a form of communication. Today, "Memories in the Making" is offered in over 20 U.S. states and 4 countries.

President and cofounder Angie Park is excited to see where the art fair project will take the organization, "Hopefully, the art community can unite to support and improve the quality of life for Alzheimer's sufferers, such as my grandma."

The ATAS (http://atasfoundation.org), or Art for the Treatment of Alzheimer's Sufferers, Foundation is a nonprofit organization that strives to unite artists through their talent to improve the quality of life of Alzheimer's sufferers by distributing artwork.

You can support the ATAS Foundation's cause and help bring art therapy to communities by purchasing art prints and stickers at http://www.bit.ly/2019artfair. Prints and stickers will be available for the entire month of September.
