OXNARD, Calif. - Aug. 13, 2019 - Chuck Dennis Presents has announced events set to take place during the 4th Annual Oxnard Jazz Festival. On Thursday, September 12, 2019, from 5 PM – 8 PM, the Oxnard Jazz Festival will host its annual Meet the Press event at a private location (to be announced). Elected officials from the City of Oxnard and Ventura County, (to be announced), along with local media and sponsors. The evening will include an address from Oxnard Jazz Festival Founder and Chairman, Charles Dennis, followed by VIP Cocktail Reception. Jazz N' Jokes at the Ventura Harbor Comedy Club will take place on Friday, September 13, 2019, at 8 PM. Featuring Jamal Doman, Ellis Wynne, Honest John, Rene Garcia, Denise Carter, K-Jay, and Chris Spencer. Live music by Vocalist & Guitarist, Ric Ash. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door (2 item minimum also required). The Ventura Harbor Comedy Club is located at 1559 Spinnaker Drive, Suite 205A, Ventura, CA 93001.
The 4th Annual Oxnard Jazz Festival at Oxnard Beach Park on Saturday, September 14, 2019, from 11 AM - 7 PM. Gates open at 10 AM. Performing live is award-winning, and Billboard chart-topping musicians including Keiko Matsui, Rose Royce, "Jazz, Funk, Soul". featuring Everette Harp, Paul Jackson Jr., and Jeff Lorber, Louie Cruz Beltran with his Latin Orchestra, West Coast Jam, featuring Richard Elliot, Peter White, and DW3, along with Jeff Ryan, and Greg Manning.
New this year, the festival will also feature a Health & Wellness Village, offering on-site health screenings and resources brought to you by local health organizations (to be announced).
The OJF Vendor Marketplace returns to offer shopping with local boutiques, food trucks and eateries serving multicultural cuisine, as well as small businesses and non-profits on hand to share their products and services.
After the concert, The Red & White Affair: Official Oxnard Jazz Festival After Party will be hosted at the Ventura Masonic Center, located at 482 East Santa Clara St., Ventura, CA 93001. DJ. Lex will be spinning Top 40 hits, along with food and drink specials all night. $15 donation is requested in advance or $20 at the door. Space is limited. Doors open at 8 PM.
