You never know when you would require recovering the yahoo account password. Ø Click the option ‘Add recovery phone number’
Ø Enter the phone number in the prompted space for the purpose
Ø As per your preference, click either ‘Send SMS’ or ‘Call me’
Ø Type the verification code you received either by a voice call or a text message (as opted)
Ø Click ‘Verify’ button and complete the process
Now you can use this phone number to recover the password reset code as and when you recover or reset the yahoo mail account password.
If you wish, you can enter more than one alternate email id or the phone number for account recovery.
