Mr. Gaga is a 2015 independent movie produced by Heymann Brothers Films. The documentary, directed by Tomer Heymann, presents a crucial point in the life of Ohad Naharin, the artistic director of the Batsheva Dance company.

The movie was produced using footage filmed over a period of eight years. The documentary includes a variety of intriguing rehearsal clips and previously-unreleased archive footage.

Gaga is the original movement language created by Ohad Naharin. The dance style is based on an improvisational dance routine based on a set of images, using parts of the body typically unexplored by other dance styles. Mr. Gaga explores the biography of Ohad Naharin and the philosophy behind his choreography in a blend of cinematography, documentary and musical art that aims to inspire future artists and create interest in what is one of the most highly praised contemporary artists.

The Baton Rouge Jewish Film Festival will show Mr. Gaga at the Manship Theatre in Baton Rouge, on March 9 at 7 pm. Tickets are available online at the above-mentioned webpage, and the regular price is $7.50.

The Baton Rouge Jewish Film Festival aims to promote Jewish cinematography to both Jewish and non-Jewish audiences. The March 9 projection is part of the festivals efforts to illuminate some aspects of the Jewish experience to the wider public, in an effort to raise awareness of the important artistic and cultural contributions of Jewish creators.

The festival also offers grants to middle- and high-school teachers looking to participate in the Belfer Conference on the Holocaust held every year in Washington, DC, at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.
