[](http://www.HowBigIsYourButBook.com)Professed Happiness Hunter and Big BUT buster, Rene Brent, works clinically with those who feel stuck and frustrated in life. €œPeople often come to me worn out,€ says Brent, €œwondering what they are doing wrong, why they can€™t move forward, and why all their hard work is leaving them drained emotionally and physically. These people often have a long list of what they should be doing or what should make them happy: a great job, great body, a hot car, a loving family, money and so on. They ask €˜How can I learn to be happy again?€™ €

€œThe problem,€ says Brent, a Certified Clinical and Transpersonal Hypnotherapist, €œis people have the notion there€™s a one-size-fits-all sort of happiness. That€™s simply not true.€

Brent goes on to say that in the wake of challenges the world is experiencing, it€™s more important than ever for people to find their anchor, to discover that true self that feels safe and content no matter what the world is doing around them.

People€™s thought processes and perceptions of their world are what make the difference says Brent. An RN for over 25 years and Director and Instructor at the Orlando, Florida Externship Program for the Institute of Interpersonal Hypnotherapy, Brent says she can often see a change in people in just one to three sessions, that the majority of people have never questioned whether that little voice in their head was right or wrong.

In Brent€™s bestselling book "How Big Is Your BUT?" she discusses how to begin to let go of the negative voice and even change it to a positive, supportive voice. That one skill can change a life. Rene says, €œIf you had a friend in front of you who has gone through what you have experienced in your life, what would you say to them? What strength would you tell them they have that would help them move through their challenges?€ She advocates that you treat yourself as you€™d treat them. She encourages, €œFind one positive thing now, say it out loud and be your own best friend.€
