GAL Photography Donating Rare Art, Underwater Experience to LA Stop Cancer Gala

GAL Photography owner Gisele A. Lubsen is proud to announce the donation of a once-in-a-lifetime experience of healing and creation and a inspiring piece of rare art to the silent and live auctions of the upcoming 2016 STOP CANCER 28th Anniversary Gala being held on Friday, June 24, 2016 at Vibiana in downtown Los Angeles.

E! News Jason Kennedy will serve as Master of Ceremony.

During the gala€™s Live Auction, Mark Anthony will narrate a video showcasing a bucket list underwater photography experience with a market value of $10,000 which Lubsen has created specifically for the Gala.

As seen on ABC€™s €œThe Bachelorette€ the underwater photography session includes specialized breathing techniques and coaching, underwater makeup, styling and art directing; two unique 1/1 art pieces and a video of the magical experience. The underwater session is equal parts healing and artistry, and is ideal for couples, children, actors or anyone going through a life changing experience.

Lubsen recently had the pleasure of shooting a session with actress Lotte Verbeek, star of "Outlander", "The Borgias", and "Agent Carter" and is planning a breathtaking edgy dark mermaid production with Mick Jagger & Jerry Hall€™s eldest daughter, renown model/actress Lizzy Scarlett Jagge,r face of Lancome, Burberry & Tommy Hilfiger, later this month in LA.

During the gala€™s Silent Auction, patrons can bid on the fantastically rendered Aphroditi, a limited edition art piece from the Breathless Echoes collection with Espaco Exibicionista, which interprets the famous Portuguese voyages from the captivating poem by Luis Vaz de Camoes, €œThe Os Lusiadas€. The unique art piece is printed on beautiful archival fine art paper and mounted on black aluminum with a glossy laminate on top.

Lubsen is thrilled and delighted to be among the many luminary contributors of the Gala, which will honor Dr. Richard N. Merkin and Joan & William Feldman. Proceeds of the event will benefit cancer research at UCLA€™s Jonson, USC€™s Noris and City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Centers.

As a cancer survivor herself, Lubsen has a unique perspective in not only what the disease can do, but in the power of healing. Her underwater photography sessions bring that healing to a new dimension with water as the medium.

€œWater is healing and allows us to go back to our natural source and feel limitless and free,€ Lubsen says. €œI€™ve done underwater sessions with cancer patients and people who have gone through big, life-changing experiences; water is the most nurturing of all elements. We no longer are defined by our sufferings or disease and truly experience the how it is to be in the now. This by itself is such a healing process.€
