Cheryl joined Bayleys Real Estate nearly 10 years ago, following on from over 30 years in business, including being an executive in the airline and travel industry. She was also Managing Director of a successful New Zealand training company that pioneered the use of the web for learning. Fast forward to today where she is fast becoming known for her sucess with selling leasehold aparments in Auckland's CBD and Waterfront. Leasehold can be a difficult market in Auckland but this week she achieved a price well above CV for an apartment in Shed 24 on the Waterfront.
In response to a question on the driving force behind her success, Regan has explained how it really boiled down to her innate desire to help vendors realise a successful sale in a difficult market, saying: One shoe does not fit all when it comes to dealing with people.
In a recent one-to-one interview, Regan reminisced on other past achievements, which helped build momentum towards the present day. Notably, one of the proudest is spending time with a lady suffering from Alzheimers and improving the quality of her life on a daily basis.
In the same interview, Regan stated her intentions for the future. The primary goal for the next 12 months, she states, will be listing more leasehold apartments because she knows how to market them. Looking farther ahead, the aim is getting repeat business because there's no better thanks in real estate than have the same purchasers come back as vendors.
When asked more personally about how she wants to be perceived and remembered, Regan said: Being known as someone who is easy to deal with and not being afraid to get stuck in to jobs that need doing
Regan closed the interview by sharing her recommendation for anybody who wanted to follow in her footsteps in some fashion, perhaps taking the achievements even further. According to Cheryl Regan, the key is being curious about people, being interested in them and being able to laugh.
