The national 2016 Energy Solutions Conference Simulcast" will showcase top experts on a host of timely energy topics. Professionals and the public can attend online or in person for March and April events. The March 23-24 track will focus on Renewable Energy & Alternative Fuels. The April 12 13 Track will deal with energy efficiency, green buildings & green business operations. The sponsor hosts still other online events on energy and other high impact topics.
Energy technology innovations, the emergence of adverse climate impacts, citizen calls for clean energy, documented job increases from renewable energy and energy efficiency, and still other influences have catalyzed a shift in the energy world and new opportunities are available for states and local communities. Solar energy, bioenergy, wind power and other renewable energy resources, as well as energy efficiency innovations and alternative transportation fuels, offer more opportunities for the US now than ever before.
Karl Rabago, a widely-known national energy expert, will lead off the conference as its Keynote Speaker. Rabago has held positions as Deputy Secretary of the US Department of Energy, a Texas Public Utility Commissioner, a senior utility official (Vice President of Distributed Energy Services) with Austin Energy, Energy Program Manager for the Environmental Defense Fund, and Managing Director & Principal of the Rocky Mountain Institute, among other key roles. Rabago now holds the position of Executive Director of the Pace Energy & Climate Center in New York. In addition, he serves as Chair of the Board, Center for Resource Solutions, and sits on the Board of the Interstate Renewable Energy Council. Rabago will speak on Energy Service Providers of the Future: Opportunities for Cleaner, Greener & Empowered Energy Services.
As part of the March event, senior officials of other key national organizations will discuss a range of issues, alternatives, strategies and real world opportunities for addressing US energy needs. Participants will learn about the latest energy technologies, benefits of their use, changing trends in electric utility services, consumer empowerment initiatives, sustainable community approaches, and assorted models of success.
Just some of the national organizations whose officials will be speaking for the March 23 24 program are: the US Department of Energy, US Environmental Protection Agency, National Renewable Energy Lab, the Solar Foundation, Solar Electric Power Association, Community Power Network, Center for Resource Solutions, Biomass Power Association and American Planning Association. The March event will also spotlight a major electric utility success story: Portland General Electric and its renewable energy programs.

The event is being hosted by the Future Is Now Foundation as the third in a series of successful virtual energy conferences that it has sponsored. The Foundation has sponsored many other Web-based events on energy and other topics over the past near 11 years.
