Ray LaMontagne Tickets Go on Sale Friday – Timed to New Album Release

Third party ticket sites are reporting more traffic on listing for the upcoming Ray LaMontagne 2016 summer tour ahead of the release of LaMontagne's sixth studio album, €œOuroboros," which goes on sale tomorrow morning. LaMontagne introduced the new album to fans in January with an unusual personal invitation to share the first single off the album, €œHey No Pressure." Facebook fans and fans who pre-ordered the new album via Amazon got early access to [LaMontagne tour tickets](http://www.concertbank.com/concerts/ray-lamontagne-tickets), and some are already showing up on third party concert ticket sites.

LaMontagne's latest album has drawn a number of favorable reviews from music critics around the country and in the music sphere. The Boston Globe's Steve Morse asks, €œWho said psychedelic rock is dead? It's very much alive in the hands of Ray LaMontagne." Morse echoes others when he calls the new album €œsoothing therapy" and yet another revelation in the multi-layered folk singer's evolving style.

€œOuroboros" is the LaMontagne's first new album since his 2014 €œSupernova," which debuted at No. 3 on Billboard's Top 200 list. The anticipation and excitement generated by the first two tracks from the album suggest that his newest offering will continue LaMontagne's trend of releasing new albums in that spot. His 2008 album, €œGossip in the Grain," also debuted in the third spot on the Billboard Top 200.

While LaMontagne is widely referred to as a €œfolk singer," fans know that his style encompasses far more than the typical folk rock genre. Over the years, he has explored rock, folk, techno and psychedelic rock. €œOuroboros," which, he tells fans, came to him as a full concept in a dream, includes classic 1970s instruments, such as Moog synthesizers and the Melotron. He refers to the music on the album as a €œspiritual journey," and invites his fans and listeners to join him in experiencing it.

The album's release coincides with the release of [tickets for Ray LaMontagne's summer tour](http://www.concertbank.com/concerts/ray-lamontagne-tickets), which kicks off June 10 in Cincinnati and will visit 45 cities across the U.S. and in Canada, culminating on September 24 in Dallas, Texas.
