All-destinations.com one of the oldest travel portals has just appointed Digitalhound, the London based digital marketing agency to help with its' digital marketing and social media campaigns.
The portal enjoyed phenomenal growth when it was first launched way back in January 1998 a few months before Lastminute.com, but has lagged behind in recent years despite having a loyal fan base.
Offering a one-stop shop for cheap flights, bargain holidays, adventure travel, city breaks, hotels, villas and more primarily to the UK consumer market, the company's determination to stay independent has meant that prospective investors have stayed away after showing early interest in the brand.
Inevitably over the course of the last few years, a change in management coupled with a shift in marketing focus has left the company completely reappraising its' current positioning in the travel sector and where it wishes to see itself in the near future.
"The company has been guilty of navel gazing for far too long says Steve Miller, Director of Marketing and needed to have a fresh prospective, realising that the way consumers buy travel online has changed significantly over the last few years and that they have been pretty slow to react up until now". "We know that we have a long, hard road ahead of us to get to where we want to be but we feel we're on the right track with our new digital marketing partners".
"Digitalhound have impressed us with their long standing experience, their ability to quickly understand and take on board what we're all about and their track record showing the success they have have been able to achieve for others in the same market sector as us makes us very excited about the prospect of working together and the potential results they can deliver". People can still use the existing [site](http://www.all-destinations.com) to buy all their travel products as before but expect to see big improvements in the coming year, he added.
Darryl Antonio Managing Director of Digitalhound, agreed that the agency was excited and relishing the challenge that lay ahead but stressed that patience would be required while the portal was being redesigned and ready to be marketed again to a newer and more discerning audience.
Digitalhound, a full service [digital marketing agency](http://www.digitalhound.co.uk) based in London have significant experience in the travel and leisure sector as a number of their employees have worked closely with significant brands in this vertical over the last decade or more.
