Until the 1980s, virtually all real estate agents represented the seller in a real estate transaction, but they usually did not disclose that to the buyers they were working with according to a study done by the Federal Trade Commission. NAEBA was created in 1995 and has since then served as a nonprofit organization solely dedicated to educating homebuyers and supporting brokerages practicing Exclusive Buyer Agency.
