We've been in business since 1997, and we've upgraded along the way as needed, Parker said. However, we were in need of a major change since our business had grown exponentially. That required the recent acquisition of new trucks, and now necessitated physical expansion to a 7,000 square foot facility. We also hired four new employees, a new general manager and a full time human resources staff member. We also invested a significant amount into improving our training and communication processes.
The expansion included upgrades to equipment, state of the art iPad technology for the technicians, and the development of a new training system, complete with new technology and furniture, resulting in a top notch plumbing training program. We don't just train our technicians once and send them out into the field, Parker said. All of the technicians are responsible for ongoing training, including learning from videos taken of work on the job, so our technicians can learn from each other how to provide the best service and competently tackle even obscure and unique plumbing problems.
My goal is to provide the best trained plumbers in the Charlotte area, Parker said. That requires time and resources.
The Charlotte plumber also increased office staff and enhanced the communications processes to improve emergency response and documentation of services provided. Our motto is 'Serviced Once, Client for Life.' We're devoted to doing whatever it takes to provide superior plumbing service to our community.
To improve technician performance, Parker implemented a system that encourages technicians to provide the very best service possible and encourages collaboration and even healthy competition between technicians. By learning from each other and actively taking the initiative to ensure customer satisfaction, the technicians become better plumbers and our company experiences more success.
