World Selfie Project Aims To Alleviate Discrimination On Social Media

Local award-winning design and marketing agency, DGL Creative, announces the launch of their exciting new project: World Selfie Project.

The [World Selfie Project](http://www.worldselfieproject.org) aims to become part of history as they try to create the world's largest collection of photographs in a single project, using over 250,000 images from selfie lovers all around the globe.

Set to be a project of epic proportions where photo and selfie lovers, from all around the world, will have the opportunity to be part of this historical event by submitting and uploading their selfie photo via their website, which will go into developing the world's largest ever photo collage, containing over 250,000 individual selfie images.

In this fun and free-to-enter world record attempt, global participants will be able to locate exactly where their photograph, along with any that their family and friends have submitted, features within the final image. The end result will be pieced together like a jigsaw puzzle by a team of top artistic creatives to form one amazing and gigantic work of art that will depict a powerful message. The unveiling of the finalised photographic collage will be kept top secret until February 29th 2016.

The types of images the World Selfie Project would love to see:

Groups - Friends, families, pets and people loved by anyone.

Artistic - Selfies created with Instagram or phone editing filters enabled.

Scenic - Favourite landmarks, mountaintops, cityscapes etc.

Action - Including any passionate hobbies like mountain biking, swimming with sharks etc.

Funny - Selfies with humour are always welcome. Keep it sensible though.

Selfies that will be excluded from the project:

Angry or hate selfies; offensive, nude, racist and pornographic selfies.

In a world dominated by 'selfies', smartphones and social media, participants in the World Selfie Project will be able to harness the power of technology to upload their 'selfie' as well as helping to share the project globally. Art is such an inspiring way to spread the message that people are all unique, inside and out, yet all equal, said [DGL Creative](http://www.dglcreative.com) director, David Laird.
