BIOPLUS-INTERPHEX KOREA 2026 (BIX 2026), Korea’s leading bio and pharmaceutical convention hosted by the Korea Biotechnology Industry Organization (KoreaBIO) and organized by RX, has announced its keynote speakers and opened registration for the upcoming event. As one of Asia’s premier biotechnology gatherings, BIX serves as a global business platform that connects biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, research institutions, investors, and industry experts to explore new partnerships, investment opportunities, and avenues for innovation.
Taking place in Seoul, BIX 2026 will feature a comprehensive program that includes a specialized conference, exhibition, partnering meetings, and networking events designed to foster collaboration across the global bioindustry. Participants will gain insights into the latest scientific breakthroughs, market trends, investment strategies, and business development opportunities shaping the future of biotechnology and pharmaceuticals.
This year’s keynote sessions will focus on two significant topics: stem cell innovation and global biopharma mergers and acquisitions. On October 28, Dr. Sally Temple, Co-founder and Scientific Director of the Neural Stem Cell Institute (NSCI) and Chief Scientific Officer of Luxa Biotechnology, will deliver the opening keynote, “Human Stem Cells: Transforming the Fight Against Nervous System Disease.” A globally recognized leader in stem cell and neuroscience research, Temple will discuss how advances in human stem cell technologies are transforming the study and treatment of neurological disorders. Her presentation will cover applications in disease modeling, drug discovery, cell therapy, and the translation of pioneering research into therapeutic development.
On October 29, Stuart Cable, Global Head of Mergers & Acquisitions and Vice Chair at Goodwin, will present “Current Trends in Biopharma M&A.” Drawing on extensive experience advising pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies on major global transactions, Cable will examine the evolving M&A landscape, including deal activity, transaction structures, executive compensation, regulatory considerations, and the growing acquisition of innovative biotech firms by large and mid-sized pharmaceutical companies.
Beyond the keynote sessions, BIX 2026 will host a range of expert-led discussions on emerging technologies, market developments, commercialization strategies, global expansion, investment trends, and research and development advancements. Industry leaders from biopharmaceutical companies, academic institutions, and investment firms are expected to share valuable insights on navigating opportunities in the rapidly evolving life sciences sector.
Pre-registration for BIX 2026 is open until August 31, with discounted rates available during the early-bird registration period. Additional event information and registration details can be accessed through the official BIX website.
